After spending five years as Baker University's Assistant Director of Athletics, Baker University President Dr. Lynne Murray announced on July 20, 2022, that Susan Decker will be the next Athletic Director at Baker University.

She spent the last five years serving as Baker's Assistant Director of Athletics and also spent time as the Senior Woman Administrator. Over the last few years, she has helped develop a mentorship program in which gives each team the opportunity to create better relationships with professors and create a stronger connection between athletics and the classroom. Along with developing this program, Decker has helped run the Baker University Athletics Study Hall program and serves on the athletics department's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

After being named the Heart of America Charles Morris Administrator of the Year in 2020, she became Baker University's Senior Woman Administrator in 2021. In this role, she provided leadership and guidance in the area of Title IX and gender equity planning for both men's and women's sports. She participated in budget development and major financial decisions for the athletic department, advocated for student-athlete well-being and served as a mentor and resource for direct reports and other athletics staff members.

Prior to returning to Baker in the Fall of 2017, Decker spent time at Regis College in Weston, MA as an Assistant Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Welfare and the Senior Woman Administrator (NCAA D3). After a brief stint at Shepard University in West Virginia, Susan will now lead the Athletic Department at Baker University where she previously guided the Baker women's basketball team from 2000 to 2011.

Susan is currently the all-time wins leader for the program, she produced 25 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, and had three 21 win seasons. Susan also was a part-time faculty member for Baker, teaching courses in the Department of Health, Sport and Human Performance.
