Young’s Four-Homer Weekend Leads to Heart Baseball Player of the Week Honors

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Junior slugger Eli Young was named Heart Baseball Player of the Week following his incredible four-homer outing in Baker's series split with Avila this past weekend.

Young recorded a total of four home runs and 12 RBI in his two games against the Eagles with a pair of home runs in back-to-back games, including a grand slam on Saturday. He hit home runs in two of his three at-bats on Friday's Senior Night victory before going on to homer twice in the series finale.

The junior from Gilbert, Ariz. has tallied a team-high 38 RBI and nine doubles on the year, while his eight home runs sit second on the club with two of them being grand slams.

Following a three-game break, Young and the Wildcats jump back into Heart play with a matchup at MidAmerica Nazarene this weekend in the final series of the 2024 regular season, starting on Friday, April 26 at 1 p.m. in Olathe, Kan.
