Third-Place Finish Highlights Busy Weekend for Baker Cheer

FREMONT, Neb./DES MOINES, Iowa - After earning a top-five national finish at the UCA Nationals last weekend, the Baker cheer team claimed a third-place finish at the Midland Invite on Saturday in the first of their two competitions this weekend.

The Wildcats totaled a score of 61.53 points and placed third in Fremont, Neb., falling just a few points short of second-place Columbia College (64.55).

Then, on Sunday, BU competed in the Viking Challenge, hosted by Grand View, where they defeated Ottawa in a dual by a score of 67.45-47.60 and fell to Midland, 81.90-65.08. Overall, the Wildcats finished in sixth in Des Moines, Iowa with a combined score of 132.5.

Baker will be in action next at Bethel's Thresher Invite on February 15 in Newton, Kan.
