Knaussman Named Heart Dancer of the Week

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Junior Katelyn Knaussman of the Baker dance team has been selected the first recipient of the Heart Dancer of the Week award of 2024, following her performance in the Wildcats' season-opening competition at the Falcon Invite, the conference announced on Monday.

Knaussman helped lead the Wildcats to a second-place finish at the Falcon Invite, hosted by Friends, on Friday. Baker earned 73.27 points in the competition, finishing just behind first place Oklahoma City who earned 81.30 points.

Kicking off her third year at BU, the Shawnee, Kan. native is one of six all-conference selections returning for a Wildcats dance squad that is coming off back-to-back Heart championships and a national championship from the DTU College Classic.

Knaussman and the Wildcats will next be in action at the Midland Invitational on January 26 in Fremont, Neb.
