Baker Dance Takes 3rd at Concordia, Splits Duals with Midland and Morningside

SEWARD, Neb. – Coming off a first-place finish at the Midland Invitational, the Baker dance team travelled to Seward, Neb., on Saturday to compete in the Concordia Day of Duals where they had duals against both Midland and Morningside.

Baker started the day with a dual against Midland. Baker put together a score of 82.53 with zero deductions in the round, while Midland was able to put up a score of 85.37 to win the first dual of the day.

The Wildcats' day was not done as they regrouped and came back to dual with Morningside. The Mustangs gathered a score of 79.73, and the Wildcats bettered their score from the first round by almost four full points, scoring an 86.23 with zero deductions once again to win their second dual of the day.

Combining their scores from both performances, the Baker Wildcats brought home third place in the event, finishing behind just Grand View and Midland.

The Baker dance team will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 16 to compete in the MNU Invite before hosting the 2024 Baker Classic on Saturday, Feb. 17.
