BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – At the end of the regular season, the Baker Rocket League team currently sits atop the National Esports Collegiate Conference Emergent Division.

"This talented group of guys didn't even know each other prior to this season," head coach Toby Ebel said. "They have come together with determination, a sense of common goals and just a strong competitive drive. They are in this position because of their dedication to their craft and each other. They are great team players."

The Baker Rocket League team is comprised of senior Will Cox, Sophomore Tanner Eckerle and Freshman John Scarpa. These three have posted a record of 7-1 on the season and have a goal differential of 15. The Wildcats are in first place in front of two other teams that are 7-1 including Boise State and Rogers State.

Baker's only loss of the regular season came on Oct. 12, when they Wildcats fell to Rogers State on a night when the ball did not bounce their way.

The Wildcats will now wait to find out who they will play in the NECC Rocket League Playoffs. Their first match of the playoffs will be on Tuesday, Nov. 16, but their opponent is still unknown.
