Lisec Selected as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar

NORMAN, Okla. – Drew Lisec of the Baker men's golf team was named as a 2023-24 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Thursday.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

Lisec, a junior from Olathe, Kan., will enter his third season at Baker in the fall and is coming off a 2024 campaign that saw him place 22nd at the 2024 Heart Men's Golf Conference Championship and earn his highest individual finish as a Wildcat after taking runner-up honors at the Central Baptist Invite. Majoring in accounting at BU, Lisec carries a cumulative GPA of 3.45.

Posting their highest finish in five years, the Baker men's golf team placed fifth at the Heart tournament this past spring with an overall score of 888 with Lisec (+5) and teammate Cole Fischman (+4) finishing in back-to-back spots to lead the Wildcats in scoring.
