Lund Named Heart Men’s Wrestler of the Week

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Kevin Lund of the Baker men's wrestling team was selected as the Heart Men's Wrestler of the Week following his performance at the Doane Open this past weekend.

Lund, a freshman from Glenpool, Okla., claimed first place in the amateur division of the 197-pound bracket at Saturday's Doane Open after winning all five of his matches. Four of his wins came by way of a pin, including a takedown at the 1:18 mark in the championship match. Lund was one of two BU wrestlers to come away with an individual title in Crete, Neb. with teammate Saoul Prado taking first place in the Amateur 125-pound bracket.

Lund and the Wildcats will compete in a conference road dual for the second straight week with a set of duals at Benedictine on Saturday, Dec. 9 in Atchison, Kan. where the Wildcats will face off against the Ravens and top-ranked Grand View.
