Women’s Golf Competes at TPC Deere Run Invitational

SILVIS, Ill. – The Baker women's golf team traveled to play a fall tournament at TPC Deere Run – the site of the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship – earlier this week in Silvis, Ill. and finished in 12th place in the team standings.

The Wildcats posted scores of 376, 373 and 381 to finish with an overall score of 1130, placing them 12th among the 13-team field.

Reagan Kauth led the team after carding a tournament score of 263 and earning a 37th-place finish overall, marking BU's lowest score of the tournament with an 84 in the opening round.

Olivia Morgan followed Kauth on the scoring sheet for Baker with the sophomore from Topeka, Kan. shooting an 86 in the final round to finish with a score of 280 and place 54th.

Mallory Nelson turned in a consistent outing and placed closely behind Morgan with a 56th-place finish, while Gracyn Nutsch and Katie Murray rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats with Nutsch recording a 310 and Murray a 316.

Both golf teams will be back in action next week with the Conference Preview set to take place on Oct. 23-24 at The Preserve at Lake Rathbun in Moravia, Iowa.
