Wildcats Sweep Heart Golfer of the Week Honors

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker golf's Drew Lisec and Paula Martin-Montero were selected as this week's Heart Men's and Women's Golfer of the Week to sweep the conference's weekly awards for the Wildcats following their performances at the Central Baptist Invite last week.

Both BU golfers placed in the top-five of their respective competitions in Cabot, Ark. with Lisec tying for second on the men's side and Martin-Montero earning her second straight top-five finish in the women's tournament.

Lisec, a sophomore from Olathe, Kan., shot a 69 in Monday's second round and followed by shooting even par in his final round on Tuesday to finish with a 220 to tie for second place.

After earning third-place honors at Baker's season-opening tournament a couple of weeks ago, Martin-Montero, a junior from Moraleja de Enmedio, Spain, followed with another top-five finish in Arkansas, tallying a score of 160 to place fifth.

The Baker golf teams had its final day of this week's Park Invite canceled due to inclement weather on Tuesday, March 26. The BU men took home first place at the tournament, while the women came in fourth.

The next scheduled outing for the Wildcats is the Tabor Invite where the BU women will be in action on April 1-2 in Hesston, Kan. before both squads return back to central Kansas for the Bethany Invite on April 8-9 in Newton, Kan.
