Wildcats Drop Tough Road Matchup vs. MACU, 3-0

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Coming off a win at Ottawa a week ago, the Baker women's soccer team dropped a tough one on the road to Mid-America Christian on Friday by a score of 3-0.

Baker took a total of seven shots in the game with four of them on target but were not able find the net as MACU took 28 total shots with 10 on goal. Baker's Avery Young was in goal for all 90 minutes, making seven saves in the game.

MACU got things going just 19 minutes in, then followed it up with another goal in the 27th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room for halftime. Adding one more goal just over three minutes into the second half, the Evangels came away with a 3-0 win.

Baker is now 2-3 on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday, September 11, when they are back in Baldwin City to take on Friends University at 6 p.m., at Hartley Field.
