Kilson Earns Top-20 Finish at 2024 NAIA Indoor Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. - In her first indoor national meet, Naomi Kilson of the Baker women's track and field team placed 17th overall in the long jump to earn a top-20 finish at the 2024 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships this past weekend in Brookings, S.D.

A senior from Long Beach, Calif, Kilson had her best mark come on her final attempt of Friday's preliminary round as her leap of 5.32 meters finished sixth among her flight and placed her 17th overall in the competition.

Kilson was one of two indoor national qualifiers for BU with Tavius Woodall qualifying in the men's 200-meter dash. Woodall was a late scratch in the event due to an injury.

Closing the books on its indoor campaign, the Baker track and field squad will now turn its attention to the outdoor season as they are scheduled to open with the CMU Invite on March 16 in Fayette, Mo.
