Arceneaux, Kilson Gear Up for Indoor Nationals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Baker women's track and field program will send a pair of Wildcats – Bailey Arceneaux and Naomi Kilson – to compete at the 2024-25 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 27 - March 1, held inside the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Fla.

Qualifying for the second straight year, Kilson will take part in the women's jump at the national meet this weekend. She secured her spot at nationals after clearing the NAIA 'B' standard by one centimeter with a jump of 5.59 meters at the Jim Green Invite earlier this month.

Kilson, a senior from Long Beach, Calif., was an indoor NAIA qualifier for BU last season, finishing 17th on a mark of 5.32 meters. She was also an outdoor national qualifier in 2021 and 2022 as a member of the BU 4x100-meter relay team.

It marks the first postseason appearance for Arceneaux, who earned an at-large bid in the 400m with her fastest time coming at the Heart of America Conference Indoor Championships last weekend.

The freshman from Kansas City, Mo. placed fourth at conference in the 400m with a time of 58.80 seconds, shaving a full second off her previous best from the Coach Alsup Invite (59.86).

The NAIA Championships are set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 27 with the multi-events getting underway at 11:30 a.m. (CT). Arceneaux and Kilson will compete at practically the same time on Friday, Feb. 28 with the women's long jump scheduled to start at 12 p.m. (CT) and the prelims of Arceneaux's 400m race at 12:05 p.m. (CT). The championship concludes on Saturday, March 1 with finals beginning at 10 a.m. (CT).
