Arceneaux, Kilson Conclude Wildcats’ Indoor Campaign at 2025 NAIA Championships
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Bailey Arceneaux and Naomi Kilson each came away with a top-25 national finish as the duo closed out Baker track and field's indoor season by competing at the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship on Friday.
Kilson placed 25th in the women's long jump with the only mark of her three attempts coming in at 5.29 meters. It was the second straight indoor national appearance for the senior from Long Beach, Calif. after she qualified in the event at last year's NAIA meet. She closes the books on a 2024-25 indoor season that saw her earn three top-eight finishes at the Heart of America Indoor Championships a couple of weeks ago.
Competing in her first NAIA championship, Arceneaux battled through an injury during the preliminaries of the women's 400-meter dash and finished in 20th on a time of 1:00.36. The freshman from Kansas City, Mo. wraps up a terrific debut season that featured a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 200m and as part of the BU 4x400m relay team at the conference meet.
Both athletes will turn their attention to the outdoor season as the Wildcats open up the second half of their 2024-25 campaign at Saint Mary's Spire Distance Carnival and Team Challenge on March 21-22 in Leavenworth, Kan.
