Robinson Collects Heart Women’s Wrestler of the Week Award

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Senior grappler Elisa Robinson was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week following her performances for the No. 17 Baker women's wrestling team last week.

Ranked 15th in the NAIA at 191 pounds, Robinson went a perfect 6-0 in her matches last week for BU, including five straight wins to take home first place at Friday's Spire Classic. She started off the week with a pin to cap off Baker's 27-14 victory over then-No. 20 Central Methodist in a Senior Night win for the Wildcats on Wednesday.

Robinson becomes the third Wildcat to earn the weekly conference award after teammates Katherine Heath and Kylee Slyter both took home the honor previously this season. The senior from Junction City, Kan. is a two-time conference champion after coming out on top of the 191-pound bracket at the Heart Conference Championships in both 2021 and 2022. Additionally, she was named the Heart's Women's Wrestler of the Year in 2021.

Up next, Robinson and the Wildcats will compete in their final regular-season tournament of the 2023-24 campaign with a trip to the Grand View Open on Saturday, Feb. 3 in Des Moines, Iowa.
