Bio

Bobby Breon enters his second year as the head men's and women's cross country coach at his alma mater, Baker University, and has been with the program since 2015 after spending seven years as the assistant cross country and track and field coach for the Wildcats.

In his first season at the helm in 2022, Breon coached the women's cross country team to a sixth-place finish at the Heart of America Conference Cross Country Championships, while the men's team finished seventh. He added his first national qualifier in Brooke Allen who competed at the NAIA Cross Country Championships after finishing 10th and earning First Team All-Conference honors at the Heart Championships.

Breon graduated from Baker in 2001 with a B.S. in Physical Education with a minor in coaching. He was a standout athlete at Baker and was a six-time national qualifier in track & field.

He had previously held the school record in the following men’s indoor track events including 600m-yard race, distance medley relay, 800m relay and the following school records in the outdoor events of 800m, 4x800m relay, 4x400m relay and spring medley relay.

Breon has spent the last 20 years as a personal trainer and strength coach, specializing in endurance and power/speed athletics. He has held certifications from the NSCA (CSCS), NASM-CPT and USATF Level 1 coaching.
