Simpson Earns Heart Special Teams Player of the Week Honors

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker sophomore kicker Seth Simpson was named the Heart of America's Big Game Football Special Teams Player of the Week, following his performance in the Wildcats' 58-7 victory at Central Methodist on Saturday.

Simpson made three field goals and was a perfect 7-of-7 on PAT's in Baker's blowout win on the road. His longest field goal from Saturday came on a 37-yarder right before halftime. It marked his second game this season with three field goals made in a game after the Lee's Summit, Mo. native tallied four field goals against MidAmerica Nazarene on Oct. 14. Simpson is 16-for-19 on field goals this season, while boasting a perfect 37-for-37 record on extra points.

Simpson and the Wildcats close out the 2023 regular season with a matchup against Heart South opponent Missouri Valley on Saturday, Nov. 11 with kickoff set for 1 p.m. in Marshall, Mo.
